Steph Curry gave the NBA fans a treat on Christmas Day, only for Austin Reaves to take the ultimate praise home after an epic battle came down to a clutch display between the duo. Curry scored eight consecutive points, including two consecutive 3s to tie the game 118-118. Both were incredible, with the first coming from the corner from a near-impossible angle over LeBron James.
Curry laced the other one from way outside, single-handedly taking the momentum away from the Lakers. However, Reaves had other plans. He hit the game-winner with a second left, attacking the rim after he slipped past Andrew Wiggins on the final possession.
Reaves finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists on 40.0% 3-point shooting. He was 6 of 6 from the free-throw line. On the other hand, Curry had 38 points and six rebounds on eight 3s.

Austin Reaves reveals game-winner was initially designed for LeBron James
Austin Reaves had the game-winner on Wednesday night, but JJ Redick never had it designed for him. The Golden State Warriors successfully denied LeBron James the ball on the in-bounds play, but it ended up in Reaves' hands, which the Warriors found to be an unfavorable situation after the game.
A series of defensive collapses on the final possession saw Reaves capitalize and bring the win home to hand the Lakers their 17th win. The point guard revealed the play was designed for LeBron, not him.
"I'll be honest with y'all, the last play was not for me, it was for Bron," Reaves said. "But you know, I got the opportunity to go win us a game and that's what ended up happening. That's a big win for the team."
Reaves has played on Christmas Day for four consecutive seasons since his debut. However, he wasn't on the winning side before Wednesday's contest. It was a full circle moment for him to take control of the situation and ensure he doesn't land up with a 0-4 record on the NBA's biggest midseason slate.
