LiANgelo Ball may not have realized his NBA dreams, unlike his two other brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo. However, he has shown potential as a rapper, in a song he teased on Thursday.

Ball, AKA 'G3,' is set to release "Tweaker (Woah)" through Worldstar on Friday. He first previewed the song for popular streamer N3on, piquing the interest of listeners. The song gives a throwback feel to the beats produced in the 2000s.

The snippet received positive reactions from fans on X (formerly Twitter) who begged him to release it as soon as possible. One fan acknowledged the potential of 'G3' and pointed out that he could have a future in the rap game, writing:

"Bro might've found a new career finally"

Another begged Ball to release the track while it was generating buzz, writing,

"Drop the video ASAP @LiAngeloBall while the buzz is at its PEAK rn."
"This s**t banging can even lie," another wrote.
"He wouldve won a Grammy... for this song being in hustle and flow...." a fan boldly declared.

A comment, meanwhile, tried to separate LiAngelo Ball's work from those being put out by other NBA players, writing,

"After following Gelo's music snippets for months, this preview honestly sounds more polished than anything coming from most NBA players trying to rap."
"S**t does sound cold. I like it," a user said.

One fan just found himself moving with "Tweaker," posting:

LiAngelo Ball has been dipping his hands in rapping as he continues to pursue his NBA dream for the past couple of years to mixed reception. He, however, may have finally found his breakthrough with the latest track.

LiAngelo Ball is not giving up on basketball just yet

While he has been turning heads for his rapping skills, LiAngelo Ball said he is not yet giving up on a career in basketball just yet, hoping to land a spot in the G League or overseas.

He spoke about it during his appearance on Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese's "Unapologetically Angel" podcast in November, when discussing the direction he is considering.

"I've been thinking about, for real. I want to get a call from the G League, just so I can open them [overseas] doors up," Ball said. (11:20)

Ball was a three-star recruit out of Chino Hills High School in California. He was set to play for the UCLA Bruins like his older brother Lonzo, but off-court issues prevented him from doing so.

LiAngelo Ball has bounced around since, including stints in the G League with the Charlotte Hornets affiliate Greensboro Swarm and in the Mexican league.
