The Milwaukee Bucks take on the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday at the Barclays Center. The Bucks have hit a brief slump following a seven-game winning streak. They suffered consecutive losses to the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics, two teams in excellent form over the past few games.
The Bucks have an opportunity to bounce back after dropping to .500 again (11-11) against a relatively easy opponent in Brooklyn. The Nets enter this contest behind a 99-90 win over the Indiana Pacers but had lost their past three consecutive games.
On paper, the Bucks look much better, making them the favorites. Veteran star Khris Middleton's long-awaited return and season debut in their previous outing against the Boston Celtics has further bolstered the team. However, he's on the injury report again, along with superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
While the Milwaukee Bucks appear deeper than last year, they continue to require Giannis' services to play well. Meanwhile, Middleton has played only once, but his impact, especially on offense, was visible in Milwaukee's close loss to Boston.

Middleton tallied 11 points, five assists and two steals, shooting 2 of 11, but the improved spacing and divided attention from the opposing defense helped Giannis and Damian Lillard.
