It's Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the defending champions Denver Nuggets. The Timberwolves travel to Ball Arena to eliminate the Nuggets in a do-or-die contest. The winner of the series face the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference finals.
Nikola Jokic put the Nuggets in the driver's seat in Game 5 with an all-time great performance. He finished with 40 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists to lead Denver to a 112-97 victory. Aaron Gordon added 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Jamal Murray and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope each scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves got a statement win in Game 6 to force an elimination game on the road. Edwards had 27 points, four rebounds and four assists in Minnesota's 115-70 win.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Naz Reid had a double-double, while Jaden McDaniels contributed 21 points.

It was a total team effort for the Minnesota Timberwolves in their come-from-behind win to steal the series from the Denver Nuggets.
Karl-Anthony Towns led the way with 23 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jaden McDaniels had 21 points, six rebounds and two steals.
Anthony Edwards was much better in the second half with 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Naz Reid came off the bench with 11 points, four rebounds and two blocks, while Rudy Gobert added 13 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.

Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray carried the team on their backs, but it was not enough to secure a spot in the Western Conference finals. Jokic finished with 34 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists, while Jamal Murray had 35 points, three rebounds and three assists.
No other Nuggets players scored in double figures, with Aaron Gordon not being aggressive on offense with just four points.
Michael Porter Jr. went 3-for-12 from the field and only had seven points but did have nine rebounds and two blocks. Christian Braun was the only player to score off the bench with five points.

The Denver Nuggets were in control of the first half, as well as the early parts of the third quarter. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray were unstoppable, but they appeared to run out of gas midway through the third period.
That's when the Minnesota Timberwolves made their run to close the gap and end the third quarter down by just a point. They limited the defending champs to just 14 points in the period.
It was a total team effort by the Timberwolves, with Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels taking turns guarding Murray. Naz Reid, Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert threw everything they had against Jokic.
Now, they have to turn their attention to the Dallas Mavericks and a shot at making the NBA Finals for the first time.
