Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen shared his belief that Michael Jordan, his former teammate, would be more dominant than LeBron James if the two NBA legends swapped eras, sparking opposing reactions from fans.
Pippen made the remarks during a Friday appearance on the "PBD Podcast" when asked who would dominate more, ultimately giving the edge to Jordan over LA Lakers star LeBron James.
"Probably Michael," Pippen said. "Remember, Michael era, my era early on, very physical — 85-, 90-point games. Different. In today's game, we're looking at some games that get you at 130, 120. I think Michael would thrive off of this being free, open, not having the physicality that he had to play in night in and night out."

However, the comment didn’t sit well with some fans on social media, who called him out for his claims. One fan on X (formerly Twitter) argued that Jordan would not win any championships in the modern NBA.
"Mj would have 0 rings in this era," the fan said.
Not all fans agreed with Pippen’s stance. Several users shared their takes, questioning the logic behind his argument:
"How??? LeBron is a player who can play all 5 positions on the floor! Jordan can’t! LeBron is a better rebounder! Better passer and can control the paint!!" a fan tweeted.
"Didn’t Scottie say Lebron was better like 5-6 years ago or something," another fan added.
"yea he’s out his mind. LeBron would clear in any era," a fan added.
Others criticized Pippen for seemingly changing his stance on Jordan and the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) debate.
"That check must have cleared. He done already spoke previously saying Bron is better. Should have never said that," a fan tweeted.
"Scottie Pippen changes his pick for the GOAT debate every single year,' another fan mentioned.
The debate over the NBA’s GOAT continues to spark heated discussions. While both Jordan and James have distinct skill sets, their respective fan bases remain divided.
Jordan has six NBA titles compared to James' four with three different teams. Meanwhile, James’ longevity in his 22nd NBA season is frequently highlighted as a testament to his dominance.
Scottie Pippen states why he is greater than LeBron James
After claiming that his former teammate Michael Jordan would dominate the present era of basketball, Scottie Pippen also picked himself above LeBron James.
He asserted on the "PBD Podcast" that his six NBA titles came from a team effort, unlike LeBron James, whose career has been marked by individual awards and milestones.
"I'm speaking from a team standpoint, basketball as a team standpoint," Pippen said. "My success as a team is more successful than LeBron, I got six rings."
Scottie Pippen also claimed LeBron James chased titles throughout his career, saying it was the reason James went to the Miami Heat to join forces with Dwyane Wade, returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers to play with then-young star Kyrie Irving and finally moved to the Lakers to play alongside Anthony Davis.
