Famed comedian Cedric the Entertainer appeared on Friday's "All The Smoke," where he discussed his gambling experiences with Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. According to Cedric, the two former NBA stars used to gamble on a different level.
In the episode with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, the comedian told the story of his first and only experience gambling with the two former athletes.
“They gamble on another level, man,” the comedian said, “I was gambling with Barkley, we was at the roulette table. He liked to play roulette at that time… we just stacking. I’m stacking on top of him, he going hard. Barkley and MJ, they can do that thing. He got two, three hundred on the thing and I got a thousand.
“So, MJ comes in, MJ just grabbed a stack of Barkley’s chips. Maybe like $150,000 or something. Barkley was like, ‘Hey man, what you get?’ MJ said, ‘Does it matter?’”

“I tried to go over there with the game and it was just embarrassing to try to get in there. ‘Cause they doing like $300,000 a hand. And I’m coming in there with my $100 chips. Everybody was like, ‘Hold on. Wait til the next one, Ced,” Cedric added.
This isn't the first time he has shared this story. In April, the 60-year-old star amusingly recounted the tale during an interview with fellow comedian Kevin Hart.
Cedric also said he tried golfing with Jordan and Barkley, who used the sport to gamble. However, he said the two Hall of Famers were gambling on at least $1,000 in every hole, up to $18,000.
Former mobster picks between Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley on who has a real gambling problem
Michael Franzese, a former mobster, talked about how Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley had a real gambling problem. Both former NBA stars have admitted to having a particular liking for gambling.
However, Barkley said he "loved" gambling while appearing at Shannon Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay."
Based on what he said, Franzese named him as the one who has a real problem with gambling.
"Charles Barkley, he said 'I don't have a gambling problem,'" Franzese said. "He lost ten million dollars at the table, but he doesn't have a gambling problem. You lose ten million dollars you got a gambling problem trust me on that."
Fortunately for Barkley, he decided enough was enough and quit gambling for two years. However, he got the itch back for betting following his two-year hiatus.
