After Dwyane Wade's statue was unveiled on Sunday, fans were split in their opinions. A famed reporter even compared Wade's statue to Michael Jordan's. The Chicago Bulls honored the six-time NBA champion early in his career and fans can't help but make a comparison to the statue made by the Miami Heat.
Most franchises honor the best players who have suited up for them by making a statue. Legendary players like Wade are usually the subject of having a statue dedicated to what they did for the franchise. It was revealed in January that the statue for the team's best player of all time was underway.
While sculpting statues isn't the easiest, some sculptors have made it work. The statue of Jordan outside the United Center in Chicago served as one illustration of this. Fox Sports' Rachel Nichols posted two photos of Jordan's statue, showing the incredible detail done on the figure, especially on the face.

Fans saw this and immediately brought up Wade's statue fiasco, which has been the talk of the town since Sunday.
"MJ’s statue is even the goat 😂," a fan said.
"The problem is still the face - that at least looks a little like MJ," another fan said.
"With the MJ statue there isn’t as big of an emphasis on his face. D Wade’s stature is all face," a fan said.
Other fans talked about how difficult it is to use bronze as a material for sculpting.
"From what I understand using marble or stone will give a more detailed statue versus bronze or another metal/metal alloy," a fan said.
"So some statue makers can actually get the face right, just not the Wade one," another fan said.
"Bronze is an incredibly difficult material to do facial features in properly," a fan opined.

Michael Jordan had his statue at the age of 31
The Bulls didn't waste time in honoring their all-time great player. Michael Jordan decided to give up basketball in 1993 to pursue a baseball career. This came following the first three-peat of the organization with Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
The team didn't stop Jordan from pursuing his other dreams and let him go even though he was at the peak of his career. The Bulls went on to support the five-time NBA MVP and sculpted a statue for him.
At the age of 31, Jordan already had a statue of himself outside of the United Center for leading the team to three straight titles. This all happened before MJ and the Bulls went on to win three more titles during the 1990s.
