Phoenix Suns All-Star forward Kevin Durant is one of the more active players on social media, specifically on X (formerly Twitter). He can often be seen engaging with fans, especially when clapping back against fans who make negative comments about him.

He also seems to be a fan of the parody page "NBA Centel," the account on X that posts satirical news regarding the league and its players. In fact, KD gave a shoutout to NBA Centel for being a source of entertainment.

Fans who saw the post started theorizing about the relationship between KD and NBA Centel.

"Nah Centel gotta be KD," one fan said.
"Plot twist, Centel has been KDs burner this whole time," one person said.
"Starting to think centel is KD’s burner," another tweeted.

Meanwhile, other fans praised NBA Centel and for getting a shoutout from Kevin Durant.

"Centel is really on a generational run," one person tweeted.
"Nba Centel future HOFer," another said.
"2024 might be Centel’s best year," one person said.

NBA Centel has created a reputation for creating fake posts about the NBA. Despite this reputation, their posts occasionally mislead fans who think that the posts are coming from a legitimate news page.

NBA Centel has also gained a huge following from fans who enjoy their satirical posts.

NBA Centel made a parody post on why Kevin Durant is single

NBA Centel often makes satirical posts that target the personal lives of players. Kevin Durant has once fallen victim to this when they posted a list of reasons why he remains single.

The page made it look like the post came from an Instagram Story that KD himself made on his own IG account. The post got over 2,000 comments, 9,000 reposts, and 61,000 likes. Just like with some of Centel's other posts, some people thought that this was legitimate information.

NBA Centel made KD seem like a hopeless romantic in his post. With the top reason on the list for him being single was that he "cared too much." The post also said that KD "cared too deeply," "needs reassurance all the time," and that he enjoys "old-school romance."

The list had a total of nine reasons for why KD was still single. They also tagged the two-time NBA champion's account on X.

Kevin Durant himself responded to one of the comments left on this post. One fan tagged KD and told him to seek therapy.

Durant immediately fired back, saying that people who still believe any post made by this particular page "lack the mental capacity."

KD seems to be one of NBA Centel's favorite players to make posts about. In fact, the parody page's banner even features a tweet from Durant telling a fan that they "got Centel'd."

While Durant continues to engage with this page and the fans that believe their posts, some NBA stars have blocked the page. Draymond Green and LeBron James are two examples of people who have blocked it and the page has posted about it.
