NBA legend Dwyane Wade made his feelings known on wanting to see Bronny James in action for the LA Lakers at the expense of the team's championship aspirations. Wade said he only watches his former co-star, LeBron James' team, in action because of special moments like him sharing the floor with his son, Bronny.
The Lakers have put the No. 55 pick in a developmental program internally, making him play more G League games. Bronny is far from being a rotation player for LA and has only played end-of-game minutes in blowout results. However, Wade wants that to change as he doesn't think the Lakers have what it takes to contend.
"As a fan of the game, I'm not looking at the Lakers, saying they're gonna win the championship," Wade said on his podcast, "The Why with Dwyane Wade" on Dec. 20. "We want to see Bronny, like, this is not a championship team. It's not a championship roster as presently constructed at this point."
Wade clarified that the Lakers could get back into it any minute because of their gravity as a franchise.

However, the Lakers fans online didn't entertain Dwyane Wade's comments after the video surfaced on Thursday. Many believed he underestimated the Lakers, which sparked fiery reactions from the franchise's faithful.
One fan said:
"Nail polish went to his brain watch we win the f*kin chip"
Another added:
"LeBron is always a chip team always"
One fan questioned:
"Why didn’t Utah draft him if that’s the case?"
Another fan suggested Bronny James needs more G League time.
"Let Bronny marinate in the G league"
Another added:
"Wade mad his son didn't play basketball..."
Dwyane Wade may have to change his stance on Lakers
Dwyane Wade's comments on the Lakers came when the team was severely underperforming. They had just come off a rough stretch. The Lakers have been much better since Dec. 20. They have gone 4-2 in that span, improving to 18-14 on the season.
LA is seventh in the West, three games behind the second-placed Grizzlies and a game behind fourth-placed Denver. Additionally, the Lakers are stepping in the right direction leading up to the trade deadline. They made their first move on Sunday, acquiring the highly coveted Dorian Finney-Smith and parting ways with D'Angelo Russell.
The Lakers are reportedly expected to make more moves with their remaining assets, mainly Gabe Vincent and the 2029, 2030, or 2031 first-round picks. They are in the market for a center and a point guard.
