International prospect Victor Wembanyama is becoming the grand prize of the 2023 NBA draft. After coming into the year with lofty expectations, Victor has delivered on the preseason hype.
The size of the french big man is enough to keep basketball fans in disbelief. Wembanyama is around 7'4", with a reported 8'0" wingspan. Although he's listed as a center, Wembanyama can give opposing teams nightmares all over the floor.
The 18-year-old big man has the versatility to play inside or on the perimeter. With the size of a big man and the fluidity of a wing, Wembanyama has become a generational type of prospect.
Playing this season for the Metropolitans 92, Wembanyama has been a dominant force. In his last seven games, Wembanyama is averaging 25.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 3.9 blocks per game. During that stretch, he's also shooting 55.9% from the field and 31.4% from three-point range.

"The fact that he continues to play leading up to the draft just shows what sort of player he is. He's not backing down from any competition and he continues to get better as the season goes on." - Yahoo Sports Analyst Krysten Peek
NBA Draft propect Victor Wembanyama ominating with play overseas
Victor Wembanyama has been a prospect that has been generating buzz overseas over the last several seasons. After spending the 2021-22 season with ASVEL, Wembanyama decided to join the Metropolitans 92 this year.
The move was made in order for Wembanyama to get more minutes on the court. It's been an intelligent move as Wembanyama has been turning heads all year with his play.
At 7'4", Victor Wembanyama can leave fans speechless with what he can accomplish on the court. He's a threat to take a defensive rebound coast to coast with his ball handling and freakish length. Plenty of NBA scouts have compared Wembanyama to the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant.
While Victor Wembaynama will have his work cut out for him to reach that level of star status at the NBA level, it's not difficult to see why. With the ability to score at all three levels, as well as being a dominant defender, the sky is the limit for Wembanyama.
