Throughout his legendary career, LeBron James has played alongside numerous all-time great talents. In the early stages of his newest partnership, one analyst feels the star forward now finds himself with his best running mate.

Three weeks ago, the LA Lakers made a league-altering trade by parting with Anthony Davis for Luka Doncic. As the superstar guard gets ready to enter his prime, he now has one of the game's greatest talents as a mentor.

Over the weekend, LeBron James and Doncic shone together in a blowout win against the Denver Nuggets. This outing once again sparked the debate of where the Lakers' new addition falls on LeBron's list of best co-stars. While on Get Up Monday, Alan Hahn made a case for Doncic to be ahead of Dwyane Wade.

"LeBron is recognizing the skill set he has with him and how to play with it," Hahn said. "You could argue that Luka might be the better fit with LeBron than anyone he's ever played with, including Dwyane Wade."

Hahn cited Doncic's passing ability and perimeter game as two key factors that put him ahead of Wade in this debate. Out of all of LeBron's past running mates, these two certainly belong at the top of the list.

Before the Doncic trade, Wade was widely agreed to be LeBron's best co-star. The Hall of Fame guard has three championships on his resumé, with two of them coming alongside the superstar forward on the Miami Heat.

LeBron James uses football analogy to describe fit with Luka Doncic

When the Lakers first made the blockbuster trade for Luka Doncic, many questioned his fit with LeBron James. Despite fans and analysts having doubts, the 21-time All-Star feels they can easily co-exist.

Following LA's win over the Denver Nuggets Saturday, LeBron was asked about the connection he and Doncic are building on the floor. He proceeded to use a football analogy to explain how they can thrive together.

"I'm a natural born wide receiver and he's a natural born quarterback so it fits perfectly," LeBron told reporters postgame. "It's just all about eye contact and him being the great quarterback like he is and being the recepient of it."

Now at the age of 40, many have argued how much longer LeBron James' body could hold up being the focal point of the offense. With Doncic in the fold now, the Lakers now have an answer to that problem.

As one of the NBA's top all-around talents right now, Doncic is more than capable of being the primary pillar of what the Lakers do offensively. That also aids LeBron, as it allows him to pick his spots throughout the course of the game. More importantly, taking responsibility off his plate should pay dividends come the postseason.
