The reigning MVP Nikola Jokic has been one of the best players in the league for quite some time now. The Serbian international has won three MVP awards, lifted the Larry O'Brien Trophy in 2023, and was named the Finals MVP the same year, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest to ever play in the NBA.

However, a debate erupted on X on October 29, as fans exchanged conflicting opinions on whether Jokic is one of the most clutch players in the league. The discussion was ignited when one fan posted his opinion of Jokic being clutch but not getting enough credit for it.

"It’s hilarious that Jokic is the most clutch player in the nba but it never gets mentioned because he does it from posting players up instead of hesi tween pull-ups," one fan said.

Fans were quick to jump in the comments section in support of the statement.

"When you say Jokic is the best scorer people look at you like your crazy lol like he doesn’t get buckets whenever he decides to," a fan said.
"Very much true lol. he demolished the raptors in the clutch last night by just backing dudes down and hitting hooks and push shots, and he just did the same thing to the nets," one fan said.

Another set of fans did not agree with the statement and expressed their contradicting views.

"This is just factually false lol," one fan said.
"Not hard to score when your 7’0 290 lbs and can shoot. Especially down low in the post, that’s why he doesn’t get it cause it isn’t impressive it’s expected, hesi tween pull ups are harder to do and why a guy like Fox got clutch player of the year," another fan said.
"This is statistically just not true though lmao. He’s up there, but he hasn’t been #1 in a single season."

Nikola Jokic has started the 2024-25 season strong, averaging 31.5 points, 12.3 rebounds and 9.3 assists.

Nikola Jokic becomes the second player in the league to achieve a historic milestone

The Denver Nuggets faced off against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on Tuesday, with Nikola Jokic delivering a masterclass in overtime to secure a 144-139 win for his team.

Jokic scored 29 points, collected 18 rebounds and dished out 16 assists, completing an impressive triple-double. He became only the second player in league history, since Oscar Robertson, and the first in the last 62 years to achieve such an incredible stat line.

Oscar Robertson was the only player to achieve such absurd numbers on the NBA court, having done it twice in 1962. Jokic did everything he could to secure the win for his team, adding another milestone to his impressive career in the process.
