Paul George issues a strong response to Boos from the Clippers fans
On Wednesday, Paul George returned to the LA Clippers' home for the first time after signing with the Philadelphia 76ers. Clippers fans had mixed reactions. Some fans booed him, while others cheered.
During a postgame interview, George shared his thoughts on the reception he received after five years with the franchise.
"It's stupid, I am a free agent, it wasn't something like I demanded a trade or you know went against the team here as a free agent," George said. "The team presented something that was team-friendly and I did what was best for me in that situation."
George added that he does not get why he is booed, even when he goes to Indiana.
"There were cheers, I appreciate them, those were the ones I played hard for," George said. "The boos, I don't get it, I still don't get it when I go to Indy but it is what it is. It is sports you know that's what's in sports. So yeah, I'm looking forward to next year being back here and you know more boos."
Paul George signed with the Sixers on July 6 after negotiations failed between him and the Clippers.
