Gilbert Arenas’ youngest son with former fiancee Laura Govan, Aloni Arenas, created a stir on social media on Tuesday. A video of the seventh grader scoring baskets against high school players went viral. The younger Arenas looks ready to follow in the footsteps of his father, a former NBA star, and older brother, high school sensation, Alijah Arenas.
“Agent Zero” responded to a clip on X, formerly Twitter, of Aloni's exploits against players older than him. The podcaster posted a video clip of a DJ Khaled music video, which shows the rapper giving bundles of money to a woman and captioned it with:
“Me paying child support”

Three of Gilbert Arenas’ five kids have blossoming basketball careers. Alijah Arenas is ranked No. 11 by ESPN among high school players although he doesn’t play college basketball until 2026. Aloni Arenas is already making waves with his prodigious skills. Izela Arenas, Gilbert’s daughter, will also play college hoops at Louisville.
The former NBA star is proud of his kids’ accomplishments and trolled himself with a hilarious post on X.
Gilbert Arenas claimed he paid $44K monthly in child support before a judge lowered it to $7K
Gilbert Arenas and his former fiancee Laura Govan had a bitter end to their relationship. Arenas claimed on Vlad TV last year that although he and the actress are no longer together, he never stopped supporting the kids. He even accused Govan of trying to get more out of him.
The former three-time NBA All-Star had this to say about his monthly support for the children:
(12:12 mark)
"I bumped it up to $35K and then I paid for school on top of that which made it $44K. I was originally at $20K, and I went up to $44K. A month later, she fouled again. She figured that at 44 from him, she could tell the judge she needed more.
“The judge was like, ‘You know that I have to go by what's on paper. So if you are going to keep coming here, I will have to drop it down to the real number.’ Eventually, the judge went from $44k to $7,100.”
Safe to say, Gilbert Arenas’ kids have inherited their father's sporting genes.
