Kyrie Irving hit the first game-winning, buzzer-beating shot of his career on Friday against the Toronto Raptors. Irving put Fred VanVleet on skates before making a stepback 3-point shot at the buzzer to give the Brooklyn Nets a 119-116 win.
Irving finished the game with 32 points, two rebounds and five assists to help the Nets continue their winning streak. Brooklyn have won five games in a row to improve to 18-12 for the season. They're now just four games behind the Boston Celtics for the best record in the Eastern Conference.
Meanwhile, the short-handed Raptors put up a fight led by VanVleet, who had 39 points, five rebounds and four assists. Scottie Barnes added 26 points, three rebounds and three assists, but that was not enough to prevent Toronto's fourth straight defeat.

Kyrie Irving playing great since reinstatement
Kyrie Irving has been playing great since the Brooklyn Nets reinstated him following his eight-game suspension. He's averaging 24.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in his last 13 games. He's also shooting 50.8% from the field and 36.5% from beyond the arc.
Since his return, the Nets have been on a roll. They're 10-3 since November 20 and have climbed up to No. 4 in the Eastern Conference standings.
