#3 Jeff Teague

After spending a year as a backup to Trae Young at the Atlanta Hawks, Jeff Teague could now evaluate his options in free agency.

The veteran point guard has had some durability concerns, including knee and ankle injuries that sidelined for a number of games, but could provide the LA Lakers with solid experience as a reserve scorer.

Teague hasn’t been on a competitive team since 2018, but an NBA trade to a team like the LA Lakers who have the right talent might help him reach his old potential.

#2 Trey Burke

After being released by the Philadelphia 76ers last year, Trey Burke was incredible for the Dallas Mavericks as he averaged 12 points per game while shooting 43.2% from three in the seeding games.

He leveled up even further in the postseason, shooting 61.4% from the field and 57.1% from three over a four-game stretch in the 2020 NBA playoffs. Considering the same, Burke could be a NBA trade option for the LA Lakers.

With Rajon Rondo's departure, the LA Lakers would need a scoring punch and playmaking from the bench, and Trey Burke could be a perfect option. Burke is adept at reading opposition defenses and could be a handy asset for the LA Lakers.

#1 DJ Augustin

It could be difficult for DJ Augustin, a starter for the Orlando Magic, to take a backup role for the LA Lakers. However, considering the prospect of winning the NBA championship with the LA Lakers, the diminutive point guard might consider such a move.

DJ Augustin finished last season with 10.5 points, 4.6 assists and 1.5 turnovers, giving Orlando Magic head coach Steve Clifford solid minutes as the primary playmaker. He also shot 34.8% from three, which was respectable enough from long range to function off the ball.

His size is a concern at 5' 11", but the LeBron James and co. generally keep enough size on the floor to avoid exposures.
