The trade rumors regarding De'Aaron Fox have started to pick up. On Sunday, Bleacher Report's Greg Swartz suggested that the Sacramento Kings guard could be the ideal trade target for the Orlando Magic.

Even though the Kings have won seven straight games, the team still has the opportunity to make some trades and other moves. One of the players could be Fox, who has played in Sacramento since he was drafted in 2017. With the star guard, the franchise only has one playoff appearance.

The Magic, meanwhile, has been marred by injuries in the 2024-25 NBA season. Even though they have won despite having a small roster, their 23-18 record might be preserved and even improved with another star to join their youthful group.

"A 27th-ranked offense would quickly be fixed by adding Fox and his 26.7 points and 6.2 assists per game to a core with Banchero, Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs and others," Swartz wrote.

Swartz suggests that a trade for Fox would be reminiscent of what the Cleveland Cavaliers did to acquire Donovan Mitchell. Although it was a risky move, it paid off, and the Cavs (33-5) are now at the top of the Eastern Conference.

With the Magic, Fox will have a co-star ready to help in Paolo Banchero. Banchero is signed with the Orlando franchise until the 2025-26 season under a $50,158,769 million deal. For the near future, the All-Star forward will likely stay with the team.

De'Aaron Fox is also targeted by the Spurs

Since the firing of Mike Brown, trade rumors surrounding De'Aaron Fox have spiraled. One of the teams rumored to be interested in Fox is the San Antonio Spurs. With veteran guard Chris Paul aging, San Antonio wants to look for the franchise's next point guard who could play alongside center Victor Wembanyama.

One trade proposal involves the Spurs dealing away a plethora of future draft picks. The San Antonio franchise could give away Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie, 2025 first-round pick (Charlotte Hornets), 2026 first-round pick (Utah Jazz), 2027 first-round pick (OKC Thunder, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat) and 2031 second-round pick (Minnesota Timberwolves).

Vassell is a valued member of the Spurs. However, his numbers have dropped this season and have slowly picked up his pace. Vassell is averaging 15.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 42.8% shooting on the floor.

Vassell has shown that he can be one of the best players on the floor early in his career and that could push the Kings to make the trade possible.
