NBA Twitter roasts hateful X user for calling D'Angelo Russell's baby mother a 'sun dodger': "He looks happy. Y'all mad?"

NBA Twitter was on defense mode after a hateful user called out D'Angelo Russell on the social media platform. People online blasted the X user for calling Russell's baby mother and partner Laura Ivaniukas a "sun dodger." Russell and Ivaniukas have been together since 2020 and have a son together named Riley Jonas.

In a post on X, a user named @babyibeenajoint or Alix Joseph on Instagram was not happy with Russell posing with his girlfriend. It was because the LA Lakers star had a Malcolm X tattoo while with his "sun dodger" partner. For those who don't know, the term "sun dodger" is a made-up word for white people.

"Malcolm X tattoo while hugged up with a sun dodger is wild behavior..," the user wrote.

NBA fans went to the rescue and defended D'Angelo Russell from the hateful user. Russell has been through a lot in the past two seasons, especially in the playoffs when they were defeated both times by the Denver Nuggets. He could be a free agent at the end of the season if he opts out of his contract.

"I mean. He looks happy. Y'all mad?" one fan asked.

"Who cares man, are we ever going to stop d*ck policing?" another fan commented.

"Being that concerned with somebody else and who they with is even wilder," a fan replied.

The support poured in for D'Angelo Russell, who has been with Laura Ivaniukas since 2020. The couple were introduced by a mutual friend and welcomed their son Riley Jonas on Sept. 24, 2022.

"It's a inferiority complex. There’s a whole study on how like people who get upset over someone being with someone else is they feel like 'why didn't they pick me.' I'm better than this person they chose," a fan explained.
