The Knicks added two big-name players this offseason in Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges, but they will be without some key players going into their season opener.

Mitchell Robinson is set to miss out on the action due to a anke injury. The seven-foot center had to undergo surgery in the offseason, and it has been reported that he's only projected to return to the lineup in December or January. The loss of Robinson will be a major blow, considering center/forward Precious Achiuwa is also out with a strained hamstring.

Rookie guard Kevin McCullar Jr. is set to miss the game as well, due to a left knee injury, which he's still rehabbing from.

Boston Celtics injury report for Oct. 22, 2024

The Boston Celtics' injury list is a lot shorter than their opponents, with Latvian center Kristaps Porzingis the only player sidelined for the matchup.

The Celtics confirmed that the 29-year-old will be out due to left posterior tibialis tendon surgery rehabilitation and is set to miss the start of the 2024-25 season.

Last season, Porzingis played just 57 games. The Boston Celtics will hope to have the versatile big man healthy and fit for the second half of the season.
