Mikal Bridges faced his former team on Tuesday’s New York Knicks vs Brooklyn Nets game at Barclays Center. This marked the Knicks' first visit to their local rivals this season after winning both games they hosted against them in November, and they secured another victory with a 99-95 win.
Although Bridges finished with just 10 points on 3-for-12 shooting, his teammates stepped up, with Karl-Anthony Towns contributing 25 points, 16 rebounds and six assists, and OG Anunoby adding 20 points, four rebounds and three steals.
Jalen Brunson tallied 17 points on 18 shots and sank the game-clinching free throws, while Josh Hart registered seven points, 12 rebounds and nine assists for the Knicks.
D’Angelo Russell led the Nets with 23 points and 10 assists, while Cam Johnson and Noah Clowney chipped in 16 and 10 points, respectively.

Nic Claxton added eight points and 12 rebounds, and Tyrese Martin and Day’Ron Sharpe provided 13 and 10 points off the bench.
The Knicks shot 46.0% for the game, while the Nets shot 37.2% and were outassisted 29-21.

Brooklyn won the opening quarter 26-24, with Cam Johnson contributing seven points and both D’Angelo Russell and Tyrese Martin adding five points each.
However, the Knicks regained control in the second quarter, as Bridges increased his total to 10 points and Karl-Anthony Towns pushed his to14 points and eight rebounds, helping New York outscore the Nets 35-25.
By halftime, Russell and Johnson had 12 points each, but the Nets trailed 59-51.
The Knicks shot an efficient 47.8% in the first half, while the Nets were at 41.5%. Additionally, the Knicks had the upper hand in ball movement, recording 16 assists compared to Brooklyn’s 10.
The third quarter was closely contested, but in the fourth, Brooklyn went on a 13-3 run. The Knicks started 1-for-9 shooting in the final frame, giving the Nets an 88-87 lead with 4:12 remaining after a Keon Johnson three-pointer.
The Knicks responded with a 10-4 run, including six points from Jalen Brunson, to reclaim a 97-92 lead.
Russell hit a 3 to cut the deficit, but the Nets failed to capitalize on late opportunities. Brunson sealed the game with two free throws, giving the Knicks a 99-95 victory.
