OKC Thunder fans are all too familiar with the phrase “Aaron Wiggins saved basketball.” Tonight, that sentiment rang true in spectacular fashion, as Wiggins poured in 15 fourth-quarter points to power the Thunder to a come-from-behind 117-107 victory over the New York Knicks, who entered the game riding a nine-game winning streak.

Wiggins was unstoppable in the final period, drilling four triples and converting an and-one as the Thunder outscored the Knicks 37-19 in the quarter. He finished the night with 19 points, helping OKC erase a deficit that had reached as many as 14 points.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued his brilliance, tallying 33 points and seven assists to lead the Thunder to their 14th consecutive win — tying a franchise record. Jalen Williams contributed 20 points, five assists and two steals, while Lu Dort added 11 points.

Former Knick Isaiah Hartenstein had a quiet scoring night with just four points but made a significant impact with 14 rebounds and seven assists for the Thunder.

New York Knicks vs OKC Thunder: Game recap

Friday saw a clash between two of the league's hottest teams as the OKC Thunder hosted the New York Knicks. The Thunder entered on a franchise-record 13-game winning streak, facing the Knicks, who were riding a nine-game win streak.

OKC (28-5) has a 15-2 record at home, while New York (24-10) entered the contest with a 13-6 record on the road. This marked their first matchup of the season, with the Thunder winning both games last year.

The first quarter was tightly contested, with the Thunder edging out a 33-30 lead as the Knicks struggled from 3-point range, shooting just 2-of-9.

Midway through the second quarter, the Knicks surged ahead with an 11-2 run, capped by an OG Anunoby 3-pointer, to take a 50-44 lead.

The momentum continued, turning into a 23-8 Knicks run that ended the half on a high note. Kenrich Williams managed to sink a free throw at the buzzer, but the Knicks still closed the half with a commanding 66-54 advantage.

The Thunder's recent streak has been defined by strong third-quarter comebacks, and tonight was no different. Their defense clamped down on the Knicks, holding them to just 22 points in the third quarter.

However, it was the fourth quarter where OKC delivered the knockout blow, with Wiggins and "SGA" stepping up with clutch play after clutch play to turn the tide and secure a double-digit victory.
