LeBron James and Drake had a great relationship. The two called each other brothers, and Drake even went as far as getting a tattoo of LeBron, in his high school St. Vincent-St. Mary jersey, on his arm.

While the two have celebrated the highest of highs together, such as James winning NBA titles and breaking the all-time scoring record, Drake was also there for LeBron and Bronny James after the second-generation hooper's health scare.

During his 2023 "It's All A Blur" Tour, Drake played at Crypto.com Arena, the Los Angeles Lakers' home. During his entrance, he was flanked by LeBron and Bronny James.

Bronny was making his first public appearance since his cardiac arrest, and he highlighted just how close James and Drake were.

However, last year, when Drake was amid his beef with Kendrick Lamar, LeBron James rapped along with one of Lamar's diss tracks and also attended Lamar's pop-up show in LA.

This week, the footage of LeBron and Bronny James walking out with Drake resurfaced on Twitter, formerly known as X.

The NBA community reacted to the throwback amid the LeBron James-Drake fallout.

"Simpler times," one tweeted.

Others weighed in on the throwback clip and the current status of Drake and LeBron's relationship.

"Mann, LeBron really foul. Still my favourite basketball player tho," one tweeted.
"Ok, I can see how he might have felt some kind of way," one tweeted.
"LeBron so fake man, damn shame," another tweeted.

Did Drake take shots at LeBron James on new freestyle? Looking at the latest buzz surrounding new verse

While LeBron James didn't appear on-stage at Kendrick Lamar's pop-up show in Los Angeles like DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook did, his appearance at the show is considered a major reason for the rift between him and Drake.

While Drake hasn't directly spoken about the situation, a freestyle leaked on Jan. 3 supposedly has several jabs at James. The freestyle, named "Fighting Irish," has been dubbed as a direct shot at James given his high school team St. Vincent-St. Mary has been called the Fighting Irish.

On top of that, the NBA community seems to be confident that during the freestyle Drake will take a direct shot at James, threatening to tarnish his public image.

“'Member we tradin' watches? I gave you that Arabic dial, you gave me a numbered edition/ You would even check up on my son like a pediatrician/ Sure convinced the gang this s**t was rooted in love when it isn't," the lyrics of the freestyle read.
Talkin' 'bout we family, well, I'm not the cousin to visit/ God forbid we ever got to tarnish your public image/ All that brother talk as if I really discovered a sibling/ Six degrees, my memory's retrivin' our humble beginnings.”

On top of that, Drake took a direct shot at DeMar DeRozan, who appeared on-stage at Lamar's pop-up show in LA, saying that if the Raptors ever retire DeRozan's jersey, he would take it down from the rafters himself.
