Lil Wayne has been keeping a close eye on the women's NCAA March Madness tournament, and apparently, he's sitting on the fence in regards to his support. After Miami's big 70-65 win over Villanova in the Sweet 16 round, Grammy award-winning rapper Lil Wayne face-timed several team members.

Lil Wayne criticized for bandwagoning
From the sound of things, Lil Wayne has been supporting several teams in the March Madness tournament. In addition to supporting Miami, the legendary rapper also tweeted his support for LSU, creating quite a bit of speculation as to who he'll support in the Elite 8.
After LSU picked up a pivotal 66-63 win over Utah, Wayne tweeted his support, which caught the attention of Angel Reese. The star forward spoke about Wayne's support of Miami to media members, saying:
"I'm on him because he's from NOLA and he called them before he called us. So luckily he did tweet it out last night. Hopefully he comes to the game. But being able to grow women's basketball like that has just been amazing all year."
He added:
"If you've seen all the different kinds of celebrities and NBA players and people that have reached out to us and showed that they were supportive. ... Just being able to see that just makes me happy because I'm able to grow women's basketball. So Lil Tunechi, you better come pull up tomorrow."

While Lil Wayne has drawn criticism for supporting both teams, Miami's Haley Cavinder thinks he's simply a fan of women's basketball. Though many believe he should pick a side, Cavinder believes that his support is a win for women's basketball.
With No. 9 ranked Miami, and No. 3 ranked LSU set for a big showdown on Sunday night, only time will tell whether Tunchi will make an appearance. At the same time, it appears as though there will be plenty of eyes on him as the world waits to see whether he picks a side.
