Caitlin Clark made history as the first WNBA rookie to record a triple-double in Saturday's game against the New York Liberty. However, the Indiana Fever guard expressed that nobody cared about her 19 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds performance against the league's top team.
"No text messages, nothing," she sarcastically commented. "Nobody reached out."
Though funny to joke about, it's hardly a feat that should be downplayed. Her outing in the 83-78 win over the No. 1 team in the league is her most impressive game and victory of the ongoing season, especially considering she is the first rookie to put up such numbers.

Furthermore, she also became the first-ever Indiana Fever player to record a triple-double halfway through her first season. She also set a record for single-season assists with the Fever.
Caitlin Clark breaks slew of records in win over New York Liberty
With the win, the Fever sits at a 9-13 record and is the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference, all the while, Caitlin Clark now being a record-holder for several unique accomplishments.
Besides becoming the first rookie and Indiana Fever player to record a triple-double, she's now also the fastest rookie to reach 350 points, 150 assists and 100 rebounds, reaching the mark in just 22 games. The previous owner of this record was Sabrina Ionescu who did so in 30 games.
To add, Clark surpassed Sue Bird's record for 350 points and 150 assists, with Bird reaching the mark in 25 games back in 2002. Clark is also the fastest player to reach 150 career assists since 1998.
She has recorded a double-double in four of her last five games and nearly got the triple-double on June 30 against the Phoenix Mercury, falling just short with nine rebounds. It was also redemption for Clark against the Liberty, who limited her to a season-low three points in their previous matchup during the WNBA Commissioner's Cup on June 2.
Up next, she faces the Washington Mystics, who are tied with the Dallas Wings for a league-worst 5-17 record. The team has been trudging along this season with injuries to impact players Brittany Sykes and Shakira Austin. A healthy, surging Fever team will look to capitalize on Caitlin Clark's new feat and keep the team climbing up the standings.
