Victor Wembanyama has been on an absolute tear this season. His phenomenal performances will likely earn him his first All-Star appearance in his second year, with people believing he could go down as an all-time great. Many have even said he could be the new face of the NBA as LeBron James' career winds down.

Wembanyama recently sat down with Brian Windhorst of ESPN to discuss his and the NBA's future:

Windhorst asked Wembanyama how he would feel about the opportunity to be the next face of the NBA. The San Antonio Spurs star replied:

"I'd embrace it for sure, but I also keep in mind that this is not the way to approach things. Thinking about becoming the greatest of all time, this is not the way to approach things. For me, the way I approach things is making sure I'm the guy in the NBA today that works the hardest."

Victor Wembanyama has been putting in work this season. He's averaging 24.4 points, along with 10.8 rebounds and 4 blocks, per game all while also making 3.2 3-point field goals.

If Wembanyama keeps his blocks per game average above 4, he'll be the first player to average 4+ blocks per game this century, and the first since Dikembe Mutombo did it in the 1995-1996 NBA season.

If Wembanyama keeps putting in the work, he is well on his way to becoming one of the all-time greats.

This marks the first of two games the Pacers and Spurs will play in Paris. Both teams will get a day of rest in between, with the next game coming on Saturday, January 25, 2025.

Wenbanyama and the Spurs will be ready to keep the hot streak going then and give the NBA a reason to send them back to France every year.

After all, if Wembanyama is going to be the next face of the league, you have to allow him to show you why, and that's exactly what he did today.
