After an eight-day hiatus, LeBron James returned to action against the Memphis Grizzlies. The four-time NBA champion looked refreshed on the court as James threw down a dunk in the first quarter and returned to the defensive end with a chase down block.

Following the Lakers's 116-110 Grizzlies victory on Sunday, LeBron James informed reporters that he would have preferred to continue playing, but he also needed to consider his teammates's perspectives.

"If it was up to just me, I probably would've played," James said. "It would've been hard to keep me away from it. I have a team and I got to listen to them as well. They look out for my best interest."
"I had an opportunity to take more days and get my mind, body and everything where I wanted it to be for tonight and it worked out."

When asked what he did during the break, he added that he continued his training to stay ready when he returned.

"A lot of rehabbing, a lot of training still to make sure that I was ready to go tonight. Didn't want to get too much out of shape."

LeBron James ended the game with 18 points on 7 of 17 shooting from the field, 3 of 6 shots from the 3-point line and eight assists. He was also effective on the defensive side of the court, with eight rebounds, two blocks, and a steal.
