LA Lakers vice president of basketball operations and general manager Rob Pelinka was spotted at the USC Men's Basketball game against the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday. Pelinka has been busy in the middle of a trade deadline season.

He already got the Lakers on board with their first move after acquiring Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton from the Nets in exchange for D'Angelo Russell. However, the Lakers still need to fill other holes on the roster. It includes their lack of depth at center and another athletic point guard to compensate for the void left behind by Russell.

After USC Men's Basketball's official X account posted Pelinka's photo, Lakers fans were seemingly irked about it. Many revisited the widespread notion that he's always front and center in the public eye after making trades and avoiding the cameras for a long time.

Another common perception around him is that he goes on 'vacation mode' after making a deal. Here's what one fan wrote:

"I been seeing bro everywhere since he made that trade," another added.

One fan said:

"Rob Pelinka makes one trade and all of a sudden he’s in every picture possible. If he wants to stay on camera, he better move the firsts in *checks time* about 3 weeks."
"Rob Pelinka make 1 trade & he been outside since," one fan wrote.

Rob Pelinka and LA Lakers willing to trade first-round picks

The LA Lakers aren't limiting themselves to only one move in this trade cycle. After acquiring a much-needed piece like Finney-Smith, the team's attention has turned towards getting help to Anthony Davis in the frontcourt.

With three first-round picks to trade (2029, 2030 or 2031), LA can position itself to achieve contender status, with 40-year-old LeBron James playing at a high level and Davis, 31, in his prime.

The Lakers are reportedly eyeing deals for Walker Kessler, Nick Richards and Jonas Valanciunas, among others. They are looking for a player who could be a long-term addition under JJ Redick and contribute this season.
