Team USA has played four exhibition games so far in preparation for the Paris Olympics, but Kevin Durant has yet to suit up in any of them. The Phoenix Suns star forward has been present to support the team but a calf injury has kept him sidelined.

However, we could see Durant back in action soon as he was filmed getting shots up at practice. Aside from him, his Suns teammate Devin Booker and Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo were also working on their jumpers.

Fans expressed their optimism for Kevin Durant's return to action as they also praised his elite shooting which would certainly be a welcome addition to Team USA's already formidable offensive repertoire.

Team USA will play one final exhibition match before the Olympics. It will be against reigning FIBA World Cup champions Germany on Monday, Jul. 22 at 3 p.m. ET. So far, there has been no word on whether Kevin Durant's availability for that game.

How has Team USA performed while Kevin Durant is sidelined

While the Olympics are yet to officially begin, fans have already seen a glimpse of Team USA, although not at full strength with Kevin Durant still out. The squad has remained undefeated under the leadership of other basketball superstars such as Anthony Edwards, LeBron James, and Steph Curry. However, there have also been some bumps along the way.

They played their first exhibition game against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Canada. In that contest, Team USA gave up an 11-1 run to start the game. Eventually, they found their rhythm especially when Anthony Edwards was subbed in, ultimately leading to a 86-72 victory.

Next, they faced off against Australia. While the USA led by double figures for most of the game, things became tense in the fourth quarter when their opponents almost completed a spirited comeback. Anthony Davis (17), Devin Booker (16), and Anthony Edwards (14) were their top scorers in the contest which had a final score of 98-92.

Their third exhibition game was against the Nikola Jokic-led Serbian national team, where Team USA played their most dominant pre-Olympic game to date. Steph Curry scored a game-high 24 points on 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. It was a blowout with the Americans winning by 26 points, 105-79.

Their penultimate exhibition game was against South Sudan, which pushed them to their limit. They found themselves trailing by double digits but were able to complete their comeback and win by one point behind LeBron James' 25 points. The 39-year-old also hit the game-winning layup to secure the victory.
