The Orlando Magic suffered another significant injury setback as Jalen Suggs was forced to leave Friday’s game against the Toronto Raptors in a wheelchair. The incident occurred late in the second quarter, with just over three minutes remaining, as Suggs clutched his lower back in visible agony after attempting a steal.

Known for his hustle and relentless intensity on every possession, Suggs dove for a steal but collapsed to the floor. Although there didn’t appear to be any contact with another player, the young guard writhed in pain while lying on the court.

The Magic’s medical staff promptly rushed to attend to Suggs, halting the game for over two minutes. Teammates gathered around to support him as he was helped off the floor and eventually taken out of the arena in a wheelchair.

Jalen Suggs' night was cut short due to the injury, ending his game with six points on 2 of 7 shooting, including 2 of 5 from beyond the arc, along with one rebound, one assist and two steals in 13 minutes.

The Magic’s season has been heavily impacted by injuries and Suggs is now the latest player to join the list of sidelined stars. Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and Mo Wagner have all missed significant time due to various injuries. Notably, Mo Wagner has already been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL.
