The Orlando Magic will face the Portland Trail Blazers in a regular season matchup on Thursday. Ahead of the game, a significant update emerged regarding Franz Wagner’s potential return as the German forward saw a notable upgrade in his status.

Wagner was listed as "questionable" on Wednesday, signaling progress toward his much-anticipated comeback. The star forward has been diligently working to regain peak condition for his return to competitive basketball. Wagner last played on Dec. 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers, when he sustained a torn right oblique.

Meanwhile, Jalen Suggs remains sidelined as he continues to recover from a low back strain. Speaking about his injury, Suggs acknowledged that the pain hasn’t fully subsided but expressed eagerness to return to the court.

"I'm feeling better," Suggs said last week. "Really itching to get back, especially (being)tout watching the game (again) at home. That sh*t had me itching to get back onto the court. So just taking it day-by-day, trying to make progress every day."

Goga Bitadze is also on the Magic’s injury report ahead of Thursday’s game against the Trail Blazers, listed as "doubtful" due to a concussion.

Jett Howard (left ankle sprain), Gary Harris (left hamstring strain), Cole Anthony (illness) and Jonathan Isaac (illness) are all listed as "questionable" for the matchup.

As for the Magic, Paolo Banchero and his team currently hold the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference standings with a 23-22 record. However, they have struggled recently, losing seven of their last 10 games.
