Paul George had claimed that he was bored at times playing center for the Philadelphia 76ers. George, who's in his first season in Philly, isn't having a great campaign, marred by injuries and inconsistencies. Fans roasted him on Sunday after Paolo Banchero had bodied Paul up down low before slamming the rock.

Four minutes into the game, Banchero had the ball atop and drove to the basket against the veteran swingman. The young forward was too strong for Paul, who fell after getting bumped during the play.

The Magic star then hit an easy slam, with commentators pointing out how easily he overpowered and outmuscled George. The basket gave Orlando a 14-8 lead.

NBA fans hilariously trolled Paul George after the play, pointing out how easy it was for Paolo Banchero to overpower him. Others even called for George, who will turn 35 in May, to retire next season.

"P might just retire after this year," a fan tweeted.
"This reminds me of when a player retires and tells the exact play that made him call it quits," one fan claimed.
"Podcast P needs to get in the weight room lol," another fan commented.

Despite his age, the Philadelphia 76ers put a lot of faith in Paul George by signing him to a four-year, $212 million contract in free agency. However, injuries have slowed him down this season, but there have been times when he has looked like his old self.

"More like "Welcome to Retirement" moment," a fan wrote.
"Paul George won't be bored anymore after that," one fan remarked.
"Georgie boy been looking washed lately," another fan replied.

PG is averaging 16.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.8 steals per game this season. He has been hampered by a couple of knee injuries, limiting him to just 25 games.

One of the Philadelphia 76ers' main issues this season is the health of Joel Embiid, who has only played 13 games. Coach Nick Nurse has no choice but to play a small lineup, with Paul George playing center at times.

The most recent game he defended a big man was on Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans. George was asked by reporters after the game what it was like to play center and be up against players much bigger than him.

"I'm used to scrapping and running around and chasing and fighting through screens," George said. "To be honest, I'm bored playing on a five. It just don't do enough for me."

As for the result of Sunday's result, the Sixers fell short against the Magic, losing 104-99. George finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
