DeMarcus Cousins is reportedly going to Taiwan soon. However, he always wondered why he was no longer in the NBA prior to his decision to leave.
Golden State Warriors GM Bob Myers recently revealed on the "All The Smoke" podcast why Cousins is out of the league. Apparently, "Boogie" gave the GM a call a month ago to ask for advice.
Myers ended up stating some cold facts to the big man and said:
“DeMarcus called me a month ago and he said, ‘Why am I not in the NBA?'” Myers said. “And I said, ‘You want that answer? … Because people are afraid of how you’re going to act.’"

Myers continued:
"And he’s like ‘Why?’ And I said, ‘Well whatever the reason is, it’s here now.’ And I like DeMarcus. You guys may know him. He’s just, I can’t blame him for him because of all he’s been through.”
Luckily, DeMarcus Cousins finally found a new home. This time around, he'll be playing in the T1 League based in Taiwan. He will be joining fellow former NBA big man Dwight Howard where both stars can have a "Clash of the Titans" moment.
Why is DeMarcus Cousins out of the league?
DeMarcus Cousins was regarded as one of NBA's best big players when he played for the Sacramento Kings. Even though Cousins struggled in his first four seasons, everyone could see how much potential he had. "Boogie" began acting like an All-Star in the 2014–15 season and kept doing so until the 2017–18 season.
Ironically, his best season was when he split time between two teams. Cousins played for the Kings for the first half of the 2016–17 campaign before being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. He averaged 27.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game throughout that time period, putting on his best all-around performance to date.
Sadly, on January 26, 2018, the big man tore his left Achilles tendon. The injury altered the course of his career. He was compelled to spend 357 days away from the court.
Cousins was wearing a Golden State Warriors uniform when he finally made his long-awaited comeback in the 2018–19 campaign. Since he tore his ACL again, "Boogie" has only been able to play 30 games.
The situation for DeMarcus Cousins deteriorated after his second injury. In a short three seasons, he was traded to five different teams. He struggled to make a big impact on the teams he played on and never regained his All-Star form.
Fans are anticipating Cousins' career to take off when he makes his T1 League debut now that he plans to play in Taiwan.
