The Philadelphia 76ers host the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. The Sixers are 14-20 on the season. After a solid run with four consecutive wins, which helped them improve to 13-17, the Sixers have lost three of their last four. They couldn't get the job done against the Phoenix Suns in their previous game on Monday, losing 109-99.

Joel Embiid's absence hurt them again despite Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr.'s 31 and 26-point games. Paul George failed to deliver again, with only 13 points on 8 of 15 shots. The Sixers couldn't match up to the Suns' second-half blitz with their marquee free agency signing struggling.

The Suns had applied significant defensive pressure in that stretch to limit Philadelphia from recovering amid a 39.1% shooting night collectively. The game against the Wizards is an ideal break for the Sixers amid a relatively difficult schedule.

Washington is 6-28 and playing on the second night of a back-to-back, which favors the Sixers' chances of returning to winning ways. However, Philadelphia could be without multiple players. The Sixers have struggled when playing shorthanded.
