The 2024 NBA playoffs are underway with four games on Saturday, including the Philadelphia 76ers vs New York Knicks. The Sixers visited the Knicks at the Madison Square Garden for Game 1 of their first-round series. It's an even matchup on paper, with Joel Embiid back in Philly's lineup.
Embiid underwent surgery on his left knee in early February and returned in the final two weeks of the regular season. He helped the Sixers finish with a lot of momentum, which carried over to the NBA Play-In Tournament, where they beat the Miami Heat for the No. 7 seed.
Meanwhile, the Knicks are still missing Julius Randle who is recovering from a shoulder injury. Jalen Brunson has been playing like an MVP since Randle went down, while the rest of the Knicks have stepped up to help the team finish as the second-best in the Eastern Conference.
