Steph Curry's "Night, Night" celebration is among the best in basketball and has been used in different sports. Lionel Messi used it to celebrate a goal in Inter Miami's 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Union in MLS on Saturday night at the Chase Stadium.
Messi returned from an eight-game absence due to an ankle injury to score a brace and help Miami extend their MLS winning streak to five games. The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner scored a brace in four minutes in the first half.
The 37-year-old forward leveled the scores in the 26th minute to cancel out Mikael Uhre's second-minute opener. He then added another one to give Inter Miami the lead in the 30th minute, using Curry's "Night, Night" celebration afterward.

Steph Curry made the celebration famous over the past couple of years, starting it against the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2022 NBA playoffs. He would use the "Night, Night" throughout the Golden State Warriors' run to the championship that same year.
It has been used plenty of times by football players like Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ousmane Dembele. Messi doing the celebration only confirms the transcendent popularity of the NBA's 3-point king. It made its worldwide debut in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Curry had a rough shooting start to his Olympic career before waking up in the knockout rounds. He helped Team USA overcome a 17-point deficit against Serbia in the semifinal by pouring in 36 points. He then used his "Night, Night" celebration when he put France away in the final.
The four-time NBA champion scored 12 points in the final 2:47 in the gold medal game. He essentially put the game to bed, fittingly using his popular celebration in front of a loud Parisian crowd.
Steph Curry explains his 'Night Night celebration origins
Speaking to Boardroom.TV after winning the 2022 NBA championship, Steph Curry was asked about the origins of his "Night, Night" celebration. It went viral after the 2022 NBA Finals, becoming popular across the world.
Curry explained that he was talking to himself in Game 3 of the 2022 NBA playoffs against the Denver Nuggets. The Golden State Warriors were back in the postseason after missing it for two years, and Curry was just hyped about it.
He wanted to put the Nuggets "to sleep," so he just used the "Night, Night" out of instinct. Curry said:
"The first time I did it was Game 3, in Denver. It happened quick, and it was one of those situations where you were back in the playoff vibe. ...
"Down the stretch in the fourth quarter, we got a stop, and I was just talking to myself, 'Put 'em to sleep. Put 'em to sleep.' That was the conversation I was having with myself. Not with anyone else on the team or anyone else in the arena."
