LiAngelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls guards LaMelo Ball and Lonzo Ball's brother, faced internet personality and live streamer N3on in a half-court shootout. However, it seemingly didn't go as planned for LiAngelo, as the streamer showed him up, sparking comical NBA fan reactions.

While Ball never played in an NBA regular-season game, he came close with Charlotte, participating in three preseason outings during the 2022-23 campaign. However, he was waived before the regular season and continued his career with the Hornets' NBA G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm.

Ball has since taken his talents outside the U.S. He most recently suited up for Astros de Jalisco in Mexico before returning home to rehabilitate from a left ankle injury earlier this year.

Despite his up-and-down basketball career, Ball remains known for his outside shooting ability and has maintained a relatively high profile due to his family name. On Friday, he joined N3on for a stream, where the duo competed in an outdoor half-court shootout, each attempting five shots.

After knocking down four deep triples, Ball watched N3on go a perfect 5-for-5, reacting in apparent disbelief.

"Hey, bro, this dude played at recess or some s**t," Ball said. "He's not fooling me."

Afterward, fans on X/Twitter roasted Ball, with many taking aim at his failure to make the NBA.

"No wonder he never made the league," @FearedRockett said.
"Now it makes sense why he isn't in the league," @suayrez wrote.
"There's a reason he's the only brother that ain't in the league," @FreeAgen_ said.
"LiAngelo acts like he's (an) actual NBA player," @f8tality1_ wrote.

Meanwhile, others quipped about Ball losing to a non-athlete.

"Professional ball player getting beat by Ronnie 2K’s son. Have some shame," @RagsTuhBitches said.
"This is the reason he isn't in the NBA and his brothers are, losing to N3on out of all people," @Mark_Clipz wrote.

LiAngelo Ball motivated to continue basketball career

While LiAngelo Ball's basketball career appears to be on the downswing, he seemingly hasn't given up on his NBA dream.

On "What An Experience with Lonzo Ball" in October, he touched on his potential route to proving his doubters wrong.

"I'm still going ... I'm not done ... I like the Big3," Ball said. "I might just play in the Big3 because it's during the summer. I just like to hoop. That's it. That would be nice to hoop. I might get in the G League ... Try to get pulled up the old-fashioned way."

However, at age 26, Ball likely only has a few more years left to try and earn an NBA opportunity.
