NBA fans had a laugh at Josh Hart’s expense after he revealed that he didn't win a single parlay during the NFL’s opening weekend. Some fans jokingly accused him of setting a bad example by promoting gambling while also referencing his infamous tweet about breast milk.
The New York Knicks guard shared his frustration on X (formerly Twitter) about his failed bet, but instead of sympathy, fans responded with jokes.
“I didn’t hit 1 parlay today. Football is back!” Hart tweeted.
One fan quipped:

“Promoting gambling and breast milk consumption to your fans. Never change, Josh!”
The comment was a lighthearted nod to Josh Hart's 2023 tweet where he had asked:
“Have yall ever tasted yall significant others breast milk? Asking for a friend.”
Other fans suggested gambling might not be Hart’s forte.
“Stick to basketball fam,” one fan said.
“Put the apps down brotha,” added another.
Some joked about his gambling skills.
“Skill issue,” one said.
“Broke like Ben Simmons jumpshot,” added another.
Others humorously questioned if he was even allowed to bet, recalling a past incident involving Jontay Porter.
“Wait are they allowed to bet 👀,” one said.
“You can’t bet on sports bro…. @wojespn,” added another.
However, NBA players are only prohibited from betting on NBA games or leagues like the WNBA, G-League and summer league.
Josh Hart once worried about how Knicks fans would receive him
When the Knicks acquired Hart from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Cam Reddish, Ryan Arcidiacono, Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2023 first-round pick, Hart admitted that he was initially worried Knicks fans might turn on him.
In the “Roommates Show” with teammate Jalen Brunson, Hart said that the intensity of New York fans made him nervous.
“But what if I’m trash when I get there? What if I’m terrible and they’re gonna boo me?” Hart said.
However, his fears were short-lived as his hustle and work ethic quickly endeared him to the fanbase.
“Biggest thing they (Knicks fans) want to see … is be accountable. Put the work in, put the effort in. They love the genuine, authentic player, you know, blue-collar. … I might not always make shots or miss shots or do whatever it is, but I’m always going to have that like, never kinda give up grind.“
Josh Hart is now a part of the Knicks’ “Nova Boys” core, which includes former Villanova players like Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges and Donte DiVincenzo.
