In his Friday Instagram post, LA Lakers star LeBron James proudly displayed his son Bryce in Arizona gear. James bragged about his second son's official look for the Wildcats. The high school standout formally announced his commitment to the university on New Year's Day.
Bryce received other offers from the Duquesne Dukes and the Ohio State Buckeyes. After careful consideration, however, James' second son decided to play college basketball for head coach Tommy Lloyd.
"Official threads 🧵!!!! AYYYYEEEEEEE. SO 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 @_justbryce 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾. 🐻TF⬇️. LET’S GOOOOOOOOO #JamesGang👑," the Lakers star posted on IG.

Last year, his older brother, Bronny, played for the USC Trojans. However, Bryce is a different player than James' firstborn. At 6-foot-4, the younger player is a more confident scorer, especially from beyond the arc. He averaged 6.9 points on 36.8% long-range shooting in 14 games with the grassroots Strive for Greatness program.
Unlike Bronny, he opted to play outside the state of California. When the younger James made the announcement, his mother Savannah couldn't contain her happiness. She posted a photo of Bryce with a heartfelt caption.
"So proud of you @_justbryce!! 💙❤️ Your silent hustle has definitely not gone unnoticed!! I’m so excited for you and I can’t wait to cheer you on through this journey! 🐻 Down! 💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️" Savannah James posted.
LeBron James spoke about Bryce's commitment to Arizona
LeBron James discussed his son's choice to commit to Arizona with the media after the Lakers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 114-106, on Thursday. James claims that Bryce made the ultimate decision about the next phase of his basketball career.
"Well, this is his decision to make and he went where he felt comfortable," James said, following his 38-point performance against the Blazers. "Straight shooter, coach Lloyd, straight shooter. Gave him exactly what they believed in or what they thought about him as a person, as a player.
The 40-year-old star also had jokes about his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammates Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye. Both players attended Arizona before getting drafted into the NBA.
"Happy to be a part of Bear Down community now. Got some terrible friends in Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, they're an alum there, so not too excited about that."
Both former players were part of the Cavs team that helped win the 2016 NBA title against the Golden State Warriors. Jefferson played for Arizona from 1998 to 2001, helping the team reach the national championship game against Duke.
Frye, meanwhile, was part of the Wildcats' program from 2001 to 2005 and was a two-time First-team All-Pac-10.
