Paul George injured versus Bulls, 76ers win second straight game

Prior to the Eagles clinching their spot in the Super Bowl with an NFC Championship victory, George and the 76ers were gearing up to take on the Bulls on Saturday. Philadelphia defeated Chicago 109-97 but suffered a crucial loss with an injury to Paul George.

In the second quarter, George suffered an injury to his left pinky finger that kept him sidelined for the remainder of the contest. He was attempting to grab a rebound from Bulls big man Nikola Vucevic.

Tyrese Maxey led the Sixers to their second consecutive win with a game-high 31 points on 12-of-23 shooting. He grabbed five rebounds and dished out nine assists in the victory.

The 76ers will be back in action on Tuesday night versus the LA Lakers, entering the matchup with George listed as questionable due to the injury.
