Over the past year, Draymond Green has begun expanding his horizons. One of his most important ventures has been his podcast, "The Draymond Green Show." Now it appears he has his sights set on even more.
Josh Gerben reported that the Golden State Warriors forward has filed trademarks for 'Green 23 enterprises' and 'The New Media by Draymond Green.' The four-time All-Star is looking to launch a podcast, clothing brand, and a management service for other pro athletes.
At 32, Green still has some gas left in the tank in terms of his NBA career. So far this season, he has averaged 8.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists. The reigning champions got off to a rough start, but have quickly managed to get things back on track.

The timing of these filings is quite interesting. If he chooses, Green could become a free agent at the end of the season. Golden State might not be ready to break up the trio of Green, Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson, but there is only so much money to go around.
With that in mind, the former Defensive Player of the Year is pursuing new avenues for the next phase of his life.
Draymond Green should have an easy transition into post-NBA life
For some pro athletes, life after their playing days can be rough. However, that likely won't be the case for Draymond Green. With his personality, he will likely be able to find work in and around the association if he chooses to.
Seeing that his podcast has already garnered a lot of attention, starting to build a brand is a smart business decision for Green. Whenever he decides to hang it up for good, people will continue to tune in to hear what he has to say.
The most eye-popping aspect of all this is Green launching a management company for other athletes. This could open the door for him to launch more podcasts and possibly even TV shows with his fellow NBA players.
Given that he can still be a high-impact player in the league, Green shouldn't be thinking about retiring any time soon. That being said, he is smart to start laying the foundation for what's next when retirement does come knocking.
As his Hall of Fame career starts to wind down, it will be interesting to see how these ventures pan out for Draymond Green down the road.
