The Atlanta Hawks regularly have rap and hip-hop artists courtside in their games, and are now taking things a step further. It was recently announced that the team is having Goodie Mob perform during their matchup against the Miami Heat on Nov. 27.

Goodie Mob originated in Atlanta in 1991, and has been a popular hip-hop group ever since. The most notable member of the group is CeeLo Green. Others include Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo.

Since coming together in '91, Goodie Mob has released six studio albums. Their first, "Soul Food," debuted in 1996. Most recently, the group came out with "Survival Kit" in 2020. Three of their six albums went on to be certified gold.

For those who aren't too familiar with their music, some of their top songs are "Cell Therapy," "Soul Food," and "Dirty South."

After being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs last year, the Atlanta Hawks are off to a strong start this season. They currently sit in third place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 9-6. Only the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics are ahead of them.

When talking about the city of Atlanta, music is one of the first things brought up. For some time now, Atlanta has been known for its signature sound.

In an effort to add to the experience of going to a game, the Atlanta Hawks are fully leaning into the culture. Goodie Mob is just one of the few bands that will be performing in games this season.

Another musical performance the Hawks recently announced was T.I. and his son Domani. It is part of the team's collaboration with the Trap Music Museum. The father-son duo released the song "Family Connect" together in 2020.

The Atlanta-based rapper broke into the music world in 1996, and has released a plethora of projects. Along with the announcement of the performance, T.I. spoke on his fandom and how special it is to be able to perform at a Hawks game:

“I’m a True to Atlanta Hawks fan and have performed in State Farm Arena on numerous occasions, but this time it feels different being able to take the stage with Domani.
"The Hawks are off to a great start this season, hopefully we can continue the momentum. I can’t wait to hit State Farm Arena on the 23rd and give the fans a memorable performance."

Along with getting to see All-Star talents like Trae Young and Dejounte Murray, Hawks fans will also be treated to great musical performances in the coming weeks.
