LeBron James led the charge for the LA Lakers against the Detroit Pistons in a regular season matchup at the Crypto.com Arena on Monday. Now in his 22nd NBA season, LeBron squared off against a young Pistons squad and nearly outshone their entire roster in one staggering statistic.

During the broadcast, a graphic compared LeBron's career points to the collective points of the entire Pistons roster. Heading into the game, LeBron had amassed 41,072 career points, just shy of the Pistons roster's combined total of 45,654.

Fans were left in awe as the broadcast highlighted the strikingly narrow gap, further showcasing LeBron's unparalleled legacy in the league.

LeBron James stats vs. Detroit Pistons

LeBron James delivered another impressive triple-double performance, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Lakers from falling 117-114 at home to the Detroit Pistons. In 35 minutes of action, LeBron tallied 28 points on 10 of 16 shooting, including 2 of 4 from beyond the arc. He also contributed 11 rebounds and 11 assists while shooting 6 of 7 from the free throw line.

The four-time MVP had a chance to send the game into overtime when the Lakers, trailing by three, turned to him in the final seconds. However, his game-tying 3-point attempt missed, sealing a tough loss for the Purple and Gold.

Following the loss, JJ Redick's squad dropped to a 16-13 record for the season. The Purple and Gold will look to rebound from their heartbreaking defeat against the Pistons when they face the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day.
