Russell Westbrook is one of the NBA's top 75 players of all time and a former MVP who almost single handedly laid waste to triple double stats, but he is also infamous for his late-game decision-making.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was trolled by NBA fans who compared him to Westbrook for his late-game capitulation that cost the Eagles a surefire win over the Falcons in Philadelphia's home opener.
Responding to this image of a morphed Westbrook in Eagles uniform by X page Overtime, NBA fans came to the Denver Nuggets star's defense. They deemed the negative sentiment against him to be disrespectful.

"Russ catching strays in a different sport, dawg" - said one fan
"Westbrook stray for absolutely no reason whatsoever" - vented another fan
"Stop hating on my GOAT" - one Westbrook supporter replied
"Dont slander russ like this he a MVP" - chimed in another fan
The most crucial juncture of the game came with the score at (18-15) on third and three with 1:45 to go in the fourth quarter. Eagles' star RB Saquon Barkley dropped a pass from Jalen Hurts near the 10-yard line. Eagles coach Nick Sirianni decided to kick a field goal on fourth down to extend their lead to 21-15 which was hauled in by the Falcons in the subsequent two-minute-drive.
Some fans felt it was harsh to criticize Hurts for the loss for this reason.
"Naw this one on the defense and Saquon" - Said one fan
"Not his fault Saquon couldn’t catch the ball" - Said another fan
After this loss at home, the Eagles record stands at (1-1), the same as the much less-fancied Falcons.
Eagles super fan Jalen Brunson debates Jason Kelce on switching sports
New York Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson was present in Philadelphia to cheer on his beloved Eagles. Rocking his namesake quarterback Jalen Hurts' jersey, he was invited to ESPN's Monday Night Football Countdown.
Former Eagles center Jason Kelce had a lighthearted debate with him about what would happen if NFL and NBA players swapped sports. Both of them agreed that the NBA requires more athleticism than football.
"I say this, I'm in the same boat as you, the most impressive thing I've ever done-sitting courtside on an NBA [court]. It is so astronomically mind-blowing how athletic you guys are out there, so kudos to the athleticism that's out there," Kelce said.
