The Mavericks looked out of sorts in the third quarter. Following Kyrie Irving's injury, they played a lackluster stretch to open the second half. The Kings capitalized on their opponents' lethargic performance to extend their lead to 94-66 before the fourth quarter started.

The Kings continued to dominate the home team before Doug Christie emptied his bench. Sacramento cruised to a 122-98 win over the injury-riddled Mavericks.
