D'Angelo Russell is one of the names doing the rounds as the LA Lakers look to make smart moves ahead of the trade deadline to land a player who could link up seamlessly alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis to boost the team's chances of winning the championship.
Last year, the Lakers pulled the trade on Russell Westbrook and acquired Russell along with Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley in a three-team trade that involved the Utah Jazz and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
While the guard quickly became the team's third scoring option, he's now an asset the Purple and Gold could trade in their quest to win another title in the James-Davis era.
Amid the trade rumor buzz, Russell's latest tweet saw Lakers fans react to whether his time at the Crypto.com Arena was coming to an end.

The 27-year-old posted an image of him and his son in the arena's tunnel, sparking speculations.
"Is he saying goodbye to the lakers?
Fans shared their two cents on the post.
With LA trying to pull off a move or two, the veteran guard is one of the players whose name has been doing the rounds alongside Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura.
Russell said that he's not worried about the constant trade chatter.
“It’s playing basketball at the end of the day. That’s what it is. So, new role, new timing, all of that. Once I get out there, it’s just basketball.”
Russell has been strongly linked to the Chicago Bulls, who look to hit a rebuild by dismantling their top three of DeMar DeRozan, D'Angelo Russell and Nikola Vucevic.
With both DeRozan and LaVine linked to LA, the possibility of Russell heading to the Windy City cannot be ruled out if the two teams work out a mutually beneficial deal.
D'Angelo Russell has reportedly not garnered enough value in the trade market
D'Angelo Russell's $17 million contract was always looked at as one that could see him be moved at the deadline. While he brings in consistent shooting and is a pesky defender, most teams in the market haven't looked at him as a must-have.
According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, Russell hasn't generated much hype in the market, and his contract has not been looked at as a "valuable" trade chip. That isn't to say that Russell is untradeable.
At some point in the coming days, if the Lakers plan to use him as a package deal, he will find a new home by the end of the season.
This season, the star is averaging 14.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 6.1 assists and shooting 38.5% from the 3-point range. His dip in production has seen him relegated to a bench role, so only time will tell if D'Angelo Russell finishes his season as a Laker.
