D'Angelo Russell's play caught the attention of former teammate Nick Young on Monday as the Lakers fell to the Detroit Pistons 115-103. After a hot start to the year that saw them win three straight, the Lakers have since struggled to find their rhythm, going just 1-3 over their last four games.

During Monday's loss, Russell shot just 4-14 from the floor while posting a season-high three turnovers. Because of his and the Lakers' subpar performance, Young lost money on a parlay.

In a six-minute-long video he posted on Instagram on Monday night, Young aimed at Russell, saying that it's time for the Lakers to trade him. Back when Russell and Young played for the Lakers, Russell infamously filmed him talking about cheating on his then-girlfriend Iggy Azalea, which started a beef between the two.

"As a board member of the 'Corner N***a Association,' it is time," Young said. "Laker fans, we all know it is time. And I'm not just being biased, but it is time, we losing to Detroit. LeBron not even supposed to play today. D'Lo, come on, man. Man, it's about time he trade this snitching ass n***a. Ship him off now. Go Get Dame.

"Dame ain't happy. Send them motherf*****s to Milwaukee. Let them start over. Blow that whole team up. I'm tired of looking at this Lakers s**t. I'm tired of being happy. And I lost some money today, betting on this underdog. I'm tired of this s**t. I'm tired of going 3-0 then next thing you know, we lose to the Pistons and s**t."

Looking at D'Angelo Russell and the Lakers' performance in Monday's loss to Detroit

After snapping a two-game losing streak with a win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday, the Lakers came up short against the Pistons despite a big game from Anthony Davis. He led the way offensively with 37 points, while also leading the team in rebounds with nine.

Additionally, LeBron James flirted with a triple-double as he finished with 20 points, 11 assists and eight boards in over 40 minutes. Austin Reaves contributed 17 points, four rebounds and four assists.

The Pistons shot 46.9% as a team, while LA shot just 43.5%. The Lakers were also outworked on the glass as Detroit hauled down 55 boards to LA's 37.

Russell finished with 11 points on 28.6% shooting, along with eight assists. Given his inconsistent play this season, some fans are wondering if he'll end up on the bench.

If Nick Young had it his way, D'Angelo Russell would already be playing for another team.
