Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and OKC Thunder suffer first loss since mid-December

Gilgeous-Alexander and the OKC Thunder rolled into Cleveland on Wednesday carrying a 10-game winning run. Before the closely-fought loss to the Cavaliers, they have not tasted defeat since going down 97-81 to the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Cup championship.

After the loss to the Bucks, they racked up wins against elite teams. During their run, they had victories over the Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics. The matchup against Cleveland was highly anticipated as it pitted the teams with the best records in the NBA.

Oklahoma had multiple chances to take control of the game against the Cavaliers but could not capitalize on them. "SGA" missed a jumper with 47.1 seconds remaining, which would have made it a one-possession game. Following the superstar point guard's miss, Darius Garland scored a layup to seal the Cavs' win.
