After spending time in New York City over the weekend for Fanatics Fest, Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards flew to Hong Kong. Kuzma immediately shared his love for the place, but fans trolled him on social media instead.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Kuzma announced his love for Hong Kong after landing there for a charity basketball event organized by Yao Ming. Kuzma will be joined by fellow NBA stars such as Jimmy Butler, James Harden and Paul George.
"I love HONG KONG🔥🔥🔥🔥" Kuzma tweeted.

NBA fans saw the opportunity to make fun of Kyle Kuzma, who is coming off a great individual season for the Washington Wizards. Despite the numbers he has put up in Washington, some trolled him and pointed out that he'll likely end up playing in China soon.
"The Shanghai Sharks not too far," a fan wrote.
"Do you see yourself playing there anytime in the future?" one asked.
"You're gonna be playing there soon buddy," another fan claimed.
Kyle Kuzma averaged 22.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 70 games played for the Washington Wizards last season. However, the Wizards had the second-worst record in the league at 15-67.
"You gonna be playing there next season. Keep it up," a fan replied.
"You gon be there by January," one fan responded.
"The jokes really write themselves nowadays…" another fan remarked.
The Wizards star acknowledged the engagement his tweet produces and continued to encourage his followers to keep it up regardless of what the trolls are commenting.
"Yes use this tweet thanks keep my engagement up folks," Kuzma tweeted.
Why is Kyle Kuzma in Hong Kong?
Kyle Kuzma was invited to play at the 12th Yao Foundation Charity Game in Hong Kong, organized by Hall of Famer and NBA legend Yao Ming. Kuzma will be joined by fellow stars such as Jimmy Butler, James Harden and Paul George. They are teaming up to take on a select roster composed of CBA players.
According to the South China Morning Post, the quartet will be playing alongside a handful of G League players such as Jalen Lecque, Trhae Mitchell and Josh Reeves, as well as Joseph Young of the Shahrdari Gorgan in the Iranian Basketball Super League.
"It's great, I love it. Here I get to go to the same karaoke. It's never a bad thing," Butler said in a press conference at the Peninsula Hotel on Monday.
On the other hand, the CBA team will be represented by stars such as Guo Ailun, Han Dejun, Cong Mingchen, Yan Shouqi, Li Xiaoxu and Liu Yanyu. They will be coached by Du Feng, a four-time CBA champion coach.
