Shaquille O'Neal's move from the Orlando Magic to the LA Lakers was one of the most talked about and highly publicized NBA trades in history. The move to California saw O'Neal secure a lucrative $120 million contract and partner with Kobe Bryant, who he would go on to win three championships with. Los Angeles was also where Shaq would meet his future wife, Shaunie Henderson.
O'Neal met the film marketer in Southern California in the late '90s and the two welcomed their first son, Shareef Rashaun, to the world on January 11, 2000. Both O'Neal and Henderson had children from their previous relationships but Shareef was their first child together.
On Sunday, Shaunie Henderson shared a wholesome montage to honor their son. She added the following message for the 25-year-old on his special day:
"25 on 1/11/25 🔥Happy Birthday to my favorite second oldest @shareefonealI love you so much! ❤️"

Shareef O'Neal was a highly rated player coming out of high school and chose to remain in the state of California, committing to UCLA. In 2020, the talented forward/center transferred to LSU, where his dad was a star athlete in the early '90s, and played two seasons with the Tigers.
Shareef O'Neal went undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft but joined the Lakers' Summer League team and had a spell in the G League.
Shaquille O'Neal married Shaunie Henderson in 2002 in a private wedding ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel. They had four children together: Shareef, Amirah, Shaqir and Me'arah.
