Donald Trump's failed assassination attempt during a rally on Saturday at Pennsylvania was in the spotlight, including on NBA Twitter.
A shooting incident occurred and Trump was injured, He was escorted off the stage by the Secret Service, who reported that their personnel killed the shooter. One spectator was killed, and two others were critically injured in the incident.

Lou Williams was among the NBA players to react to this news. He initially tweeted against Trump and Biden, calling them out for not releasing a statement about one victim who got killed and two others who were severely injured.
However, Williams acknowledged Trump after he mentioned the victims in his statement.
Jonathan Isaac was another player who addressed the situation, saying:
"Prayers up!! Glad Trump survived for his family and americas sake. From one believer to another may we stand for truth, love our enemies, guard our hearts, and firmly plant our faith in none other than Jesus Christ for grace and eternal life"
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump expressed gratitude to Secret Service agents, paid condolences to the rally attendee who was killed and detailed how he was grazed by a bullet.
“I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening,” he said.
“Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead.”
FBI announces shooting incident was indeed an assassination attempt against Donald Trump
An official of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which is leading the investigation into the shooting at the Trump rally, announced that the shooting incident was an assassination attempt.
"This evening we had what we're calling an assassination attempt against our former President Donald Trump," FBI official Kevin Rojek said.
The official did not disclose the identity of the shooter, stating that the FBI is still working to determine a motive.
According to Pennsylvania police, all of the victims were adult men.
US President Joe Biden condemned the violence, saying there is no place for such acts after the attack on his presidential opponent.
“I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information,” Biden said in a statement.
"There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”
